Festival Boreal 2026 Completes Line-Up with Three New International Acts

Festival Boreal 2026 has unveiled the final artists for this year’s edition, completing a line-up that once again brings some of the most exciting names in contemporary global music to Los Silos, Tenerife.

Taking place on 18th and 19th September, the festival has confirmed the addition of Jable, The Queen of Bass and Candeleros, further strengthening its reputation as one of the Canary Islands’ leading events for world music, cultural diversity and artistic innovation.

Three New Additions

One of the highlights of this year’s festival will be the world premiere of Jable, a new musical project created by Canarian artists Jela and Cristina Mahelo following an exclusive invitation from Festival Boreal.

The project explores the shared musical heritage of the Canary Islands and Latin America, blending traditional folk music with contemporary sounds through a collaborative ensemble of musicians from across the Canary Islands.

Also joining the programme is Tenerife DJ and producer The Queen of Bass (Andrea Álvarez), one of the islands’ rising names in bass music. Having started performing at just 16 years old, she has since appeared in clubs and festivals across Tenerife, mainland Spain and London.

Completing the final announcements is Candeleros, a Madrid-based six-piece band made up of musicians from Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina. Their music fuses Afro-Caribbean rhythms with psychedelic rock, punk, electronic music and contemporary urban sounds.

A Global Music Festival

With these final additions, Festival Boreal’s 2026 programme features artists from four continents, reflecting its long-standing commitment to showcasing music from around the world.

The line-up also includes:

  • Imarhan (Algeria)
  • Aterciopelados (Colombia)
  • Daddy G of Massive Attack (United Kingdom)
  • BCUC (South Africa)
  • Renata Flores (Peru)
  • Josyara (Brazil)
  • Rubio (Chile)
  • Hempress Sativa featuring Paolo Baldini DubFiles (Jamaica/Italy)
  • Throes + The Shine (Portugal)
  • The Neighborhood Kids (United States)

alongside several artists from the Canary Islands.

One of the Canary Islands’ Leading Festivals

Now in its 19th edition, Festival Boreal has become one of the Canary Islands’ most respected cultural events, recognised for its commitment to sustainability, gender equality and cultural diversity.

It has received numerous national and international awards over the years, including recognition as one of Spain’s leading eco-festivals and, in both 2025 and 2026, being named by the Observatory of Culture in Spain as one of the country’s ten most important rural festivals for its social and cultural impact.
