Las Eras isn’t the first place people think of when they talk about Tenerife’s coastline.
That might change a bit.
A Proper Upgrade on the Way
The Cabildo has approved just over €756,000 to improve the seafront promenade in Fasnia.
It’s part of the “Tenerife and the Sea” programme… but in simple terms, it’s about making the area more usable and a bit more modern.
What They’re Actually Doing
The plan isn’t anything overcomplicated… just the kind of updates that make a difference:
New paving along the promenade
Shaded areas to sit and stop
Better railings and street furniture
And proper access down to the beach with ramps
That last part is probably the most important… making it easier for everyone to actually reach the coastline.
Who’s Paying for It
Most of the funding is coming from the Cabildo… around 86%.
The Fasnia council is covering the rest.
Work is expected to run through 2026 into 2027.
Why It Matters
This part of the island doesn’t get the same attention as the south.
But that’s also why projects like this stand out more.
It’s less about attracting crowds… more about improving what’s already there for the people who actually use it.
Worth Watching
If it’s done properly, it should tidy up the whole area and make it a lot more accessible.
Nothing flashy… just better.
Which, to be fair, is usually what’s needed.
