Not the most exciting game you’ll watch this season… but it did the job.
A Point Away From Home
CD Tenerife came away from Talavera with a 0-0 draw.
No goals, but no damage done either.
They’re now on 64 points and still sitting comfortably at the top of the table… which, at this stage of the season, is what really matters.
Chances… But Nothing Taken
Both sides had moments.
Talavera started brighter, mainly through balls into the box, but Tenerife settled into it and had the better of the play as the game went on.
A couple of decent chances before halftime… nothing taken.
Second half was similar.
Tenerife had a shout for a penalty that went nowhere, and Balde Jr. probably had the best chance late on… but couldn’t keep it down.
Could’ve Gone Either Way
To be fair, Talavera had their moments too.
And right at the end, Tenerife needed a big save to keep things level.
So while they might feel they could’ve won it… they could’ve lost it as well.
One of Those Games
Not every match is going to be a classic.
Sometimes it’s about staying solid, picking up a point, and moving on.
That’s exactly what this felt like.
What It Means
Tenerife stay top.
Still with a healthy gap to second… and still firmly on track for what they’ve been aiming for all season.
Next up, back at home.
And those are the games where you’d expect them to push on again.
Worth Noting
At this stage, it’s not about playing pretty every week.
It’s about getting over the line.
And this point keeps them heading in the right direction.
