A menu that showcased the flavours of Tenerife at a prestigious gala dinner in Monaco will soon be available for diners to enjoy on the island.
Chef Alberto González Margallo, of Restaurante San Sebastián 57 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has confirmed that he will recreate the same menu served during a high-profile diplomatic event celebrating 150 years of relations between Spain and Monaco.
From Monte Carlo to Tenerife
The gala dinner took place at the iconic Café de Paris de Monte-Carlo as part of a programme organised by the Embassy of Monaco in Spain, in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Principality of Monaco.
Although Prince Albert II of Monaco was originally expected to attend, he was ultimately unable to do so.
Chef Alberto González Margallo was personally selected by Monaco’s Ambassador to Spain, Catherine Fautrier-Rousseau, to represent Spanish gastronomy at the event, highlighting the quality and creativity of Tenerife’s culinary scene.
Where to try the menu
In the coming weeks, diners will have the opportunity to taste the exclusive Monaco gala menu at Restaurante San Sebastián 57, located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The special menu will recreate the dishes presented during the diplomatic celebration, giving guests the chance to experience the same Canarian-inspired cuisine served at one of Monaco’s most prestigious venues.
Chef Alberto González Margallo has expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Catherine Fautrier-Rousseau for placing her trust in both him and his restaurant to represent Spain at such an important international event.
