Arona Casco gets ready for several weeks of celebrations this autumn, with the Fiestas Mayores 2026 taking place from 25 September to 7 October in honour of the Santísimo Cristo de la Salud and Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
There will be the usual mix of religious ceremonies, concerts, children’s activities, queen election galas, traditional celebrations and plenty of evening entertainment.
If you’re in the south of Tenerife, there are quite a few dates worth knowing about.
Queen election galas
The main queen galas take place in Plaza del Santísimo Cristo de la Salud.

So there should be no shortage of excuses to stay out a little later than planned.
Tradition takes centre stage
One of the bigger daytime events is Arona en Tradiciones, taking place on Saturday 3 October from midday.
The event will combine local gastronomy, traditional crafts, folk music and parrandas, with free transport available from different parts of the municipality.
On Sunday 4 October at 7:30pm, the procession of Nuestra Señora del Rosario takes place, accompanied by a lyrical and folkloric offering.
Then comes one of the main religious events.
The Grand Procession
Monday 5 October at 7:30pm sees the Magna Procession of the Santísimo Cristo de la Salud.
The procession will include musical performances and will be followed by a fireworks display, with appearances from Chago Melián and Isabel González.
It’s one of the key moments of the Fiestas Mayores and usually draws a sizeable crowd into Arona Casco.
