Fancy seeing a Batman car, a Ghostbusters vehicle and a two-metre Pokémon under one roof? ADIMAKER returns to Tenerife this weekend, bringing three days of 3D printing, creative technology and hands-on activities to the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz.
The fifth edition of the fair runs from 23 to 25 October, with free entry for the public.
Under the theme Fabricando Futuro (Making the Future), the event brings together more than 30 brands, makers and speakers for talks, masterclasses and specialist workshops.
It’s a chance to see what’s happening in the world of 3D printing, whether you’re already experimenting with it or just curious about how a digital design becomes something you can actually pick up.
3D printing meets artificial intelligence
One of the main additions this year is an open panel discussion exploring the relationship between 3D printing and artificial intelligence.
There will also be a competition for 3D-printed props, with an exhibition of the entries giving visitors a chance to see what creative makers can produce with the technology.
The exhibition space will feature some seriously eye-catching creations, including a Batman car, the Ghostbusters vehicle, a giant shark, a two-metre-high Pokémon and a 1.5-metre rotating dancer.
Not your usual collection of things to find at a trade fair.
Supporting Tenerife’s creative talent
ADIMAKER also aims to show how digital manufacturing can support local businesses, entrepreneurs and creative professionals.
Tenerife Council vice-president Lope Afonso said the event demonstrates the island’s growing role in technological innovation, with digital manufacturing creating opportunities for skilled employment and economic development.
Industry councillor Manuel Fernández also highlighted the importance of the fair in bringing the industrial and creative sectors together, sharing knowledge and encouraging new ideas.
Friday morning will include a special session for schools, with groups invited to take part in free educational visits.
