Granadilla de Abona celebrates the feast day of Nuestra Señora del Rosario this Wednesday, 7 October, with an evening of religious tradition and local celebration.
The Virgin of the Rosary is the co-patron and Honorary and Perpetual Mayor of the municipality, making this an important date in Granadilla’s calendar.
Mass and procession
The main celebrations begin at 7:30pm with a Eucharistic celebration, accompanied by songs from Corazones Alegres.
Following the service, the traditional procession will take place, accompanied by the Sociedad Cultural Banda de Música José Reyes Martín.
There will also be a fireworks display and a toast for those attending, adding a more festive finish to the evening.
It’s one of those local occasions where religion, tradition and community all come together.
And for Granadilla, it’s a chance to celebrate one of the municipality’s most important annual traditions.
