Luz Casal is heading to La Laguna this Friday, 18 September, for a free concert as part of the Fiestas del Santísimo Cristo 2026.
The Galician singer will take to the stage at Plaza del Cristo at 21:00, bringing her Me voy a permitir tour to Tenerife.
The concert is one of the main events in this year’s festival programme, and the Ayuntamiento de La Laguna has confirmed that entry is free. So, no ticket scramble and no need to remortgage the house for a night out.
Fans can expect songs from Casal’s latest project, alongside some of the best-known tracks from her long career.
What Time Is the Concert?
The performance begins at 21:00 on Friday 18 September at Plaza del Cristo, La Laguna.
The concert is part of a busy day of events across the town, so visitors should plan their journey carefully.
Other Events Taking Place on Friday
El Cristo Urbano will run from 17:00 to 21:00 at Plaza de la Junta Suprema, with activities including:
- Rap battles
- Skateboarding
- BMX
- Calisthenics
- Parkour
At 20:00, the Juan Ríos Tejera Pavilion will host the XXXVII Ciudad de La Laguna Volleyball Tournament, featuring CV Aguere against CV Haris.
At the same time, Aguere Cultural will host the fifth Cristo Rock festival, with performances from Heisenberg, GunPowder, Overture and Xebeche.
Traffic Restrictions During the Fiestas del Cristo
The concert and other events will bring changes to traffic and parking in central La Laguna.
According to the municipal traffic arrangements, vehicle access along Calle Nava y Grimón, between Anchieta and Plaza del Cristo, will be restricted from 15:00 until 03:00 on days when events are taking place in the square.
Additional restrictions may be introduced if pedestrian numbers require them.
Parking will also be restricted on several roads in the surrounding area from 15:00. The taxi rank normally located in Plaza del Cristo will temporarily move to Camino de Las Peras during the celebrations.
The Fiestas del Cristo programme includes more than 50 cultural, sporting, traditional and religious activities, with Luz Casal’s concert arriving towards the final stretch of the celebrations.
If you’re heading into La Laguna on Friday evening, expect music, crowds and a few traffic diversions. In other words, a fairly typical festival night in the city.
