The Cheese & More Lovers Fest is coming to Tenerife on 26 and 27 September 2026, with the Castillo de La Laguna providing the backdrop for a weekend centred around one of the Canary Islands’ favourite foods.
And thankfully, it isn’t just about standing around eating cheese. Although that will obviously be part of it.
The festival will feature a mixture of workshops, live cooking demonstrations and tastings, giving visitors the chance to learn more about cheese production as well as trying different varieties.
A taste of the Canaries
Cheese has always had an important place in Canarian food.
You’ll find it on starters, shared plates and family tables across the islands, as well as in the many small cheese shops and dairies producing everything from fresh cheeses to more mature varieties.
The festival is designed to look at what goes into making these products, including the raw materials, traditional methods and the different flavours and textures.
