Tamaragua Residences Brings Luxury Coastal Living to Puerto Santiago

There are plenty of places in Tenerife where you can wake up to sea views. The difference is that very few combine that with space, privacy and one of the island’s best year-round climates.

That’s exactly what Tamaragua Residences is aiming to offer.

The new development is being built in Puerto Santiago, on Tenerife’s sought-after west coast, an area known for its sunshine, dramatic coastline and spectacular views towards Los Gigantes and the neighbouring island of La Gomera.

A Prime Position on Tenerife’s West Coast

Puerto Santiago has long been popular with both residents and holiday home owners.

Protected by the surrounding volcanic landscape, the area enjoys warm temperatures throughout the year while avoiding much of the trade winds that affect other parts of the island.

From Tamaragua Residences, residents will have uninterrupted views across the Atlantic, with the famous Los Gigantes cliffs providing one of Tenerife’s most impressive backdrops.

Homes Designed Around the View

The development consists of 114 apartments and residences, with prices starting from €330,000.

Properties range from one-bedroom apartments of around 78 square metres to spacious four-bedroom homes of more than 400 square metres, complete with private swimming pools and large outdoor entertaining areas.

Rather than placing buildings on a flat site, the architects have followed the natural contours of the land. The stepped design ensures every property faces the sea while giving residents greater privacy and making the Atlantic views the centrepiece of each home.

Inside, every residence comes with a fully fitted kitchen, while natural materials including volcanic stone and timber have been chosen to complement the surrounding landscape.

Each home also includes its own parking space and storage room, with additional parking available to purchase separately.

Resort-Style Facilities

The communal areas have been designed to make the most of the setting.

Residents will have access to a 600-square-metre infinity pool overlooking La Gomera, a panoramic gym, more than 6,000 square metres of landscaped gardens, relaxation areas and aromatic planting inspired by native Canarian vegetation.

It’s very much designed for outdoor living, which, in this part of Tenerife, makes perfect sense.

Sustainable by Design

Environmental considerations have been built into the project from the beginning.

Features include rooftop solar panels, energy-efficient lighting, water-saving systems, low-consumption irrigation and the use of recycled materials wherever possible.

The aim is to reduce running costs while creating homes that are comfortable, practical and built for long-term living.

The project has been designed by Tenerife architects Eustaquio Martínez and Virgilio Gutiérrez, with landscape design by La Tarde.

More Than Just a Holiday Destination

One of the attractions of Puerto Santiago is that it remains a working town rather than simply a tourist resort.

Residents are within easy reach of restaurants, cafés, a marina, natural swimming areas and local markets, while the surrounding countryside still produces vineyards, almond trees and fig orchards.

It’s a reminder that there’s far more to this part of Tenerife than beaches and hotels.

Living in Europe’s Eternal Spring

Tenerife continues to attract buyers from across Europe thanks to its exceptional climate, excellent transport links and outdoor lifestyle.

With direct flights from major European cities throughout the year, an average annual temperature of around 22°C, and almost half of the island protected as natural landscape, it’s easy to understand why so many people choose to make it their permanent home.

For buyers looking for a primary residence, a second home or a long-term investment, Tamaragua Residences is certainly one of the more eye-catching developments currently taking shape on Tenerife’s west coast.
