Young people in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will have the chance to enjoy a range of free activities throughout July as Distrito Joven launches its summer programme featuring outdoor adventures, creative workshops and cultural events.
Organised by Santa Cruz City Council through its Education and Youth department, the programme is designed to offer educational and recreational activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, environmental awareness and social participation.

The programme begins on 3rd July with a guided walk through the Anaga Rural Park in the Valleseco area, where participants will explore one of Tenerife’s most spectacular natural landscapes while taking part in environmental activities and group challenges.
Creative workshops will run throughout the month at the city’s youth centres.
The Urban Sketching workshop will take place on 1st, 8th, 22nd and 29th July at the Casa de la Juventud Mascareño, giving participants the opportunity to develop drawing techniques while capturing Santa Cruz’s urban scenery.
Meanwhile, the “Create Your Own Fanzine” workshop will be held at the Casa de la Juventud Lázaro Silió on 7th, 10th, 21st, 28th and 31st July, focusing on illustration, collage, self-publishing and creative graphic design.
