One of Adeje’s most popular food events is set to take over the town centre this weekend as the II Adeje Chicken Fair brings together local restaurants, live music, family activities and plenty of opportunities to sample one of the municipality’s most famous culinary traditions.
Organised by Adeje Town Hall in collaboration with the Association of Businesspeople, Traders and Professionals of Adeje (AECPA), the event will take place on Saturday, 13 June, from 6:00pm until 1:00am along Calle Grande and Plaza de España.
Celebrating a Local Culinary Tradition
For more than four decades, Adeje’s distinctive chicken recipe has been a favourite among residents and visitors alike. Many local establishments have developed their own closely guarded versions, helping turn the dish into one of the municipality’s best-known gastronomic specialities.
This year’s fair will feature 14 participating businesses, each presenting their own take on the famous Adeje chicken.
Visitors will be able to enjoy dishes prepared by:
• Restaurante España
• Vermutería La Isa
• Tasca El Cañón
• La Fonda Central
• Donde Jona
• La Tasquita de Adeje
• Sapori di Grano
• Taskita Juanito
• Restaurante Otelo
• Pica Pica La Favorita
• Restaurante Aroma y Sabor
• Buddha Sano
• Empanadas Artesanales Edén
• Crepería Vicenta
The food offering will also include wines from the Abona wine region and a selection of homemade desserts.
A Family-Friendly Event
Beyond the food, organisers have placed a strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusion.
A reserved area will be available for people with reduced mobility, while families can enjoy a dedicated children’s zone in Plaza de España featuring workshops, bouncy castles and a childcare service.
Priority access will also be provided for children with functional diversity.
Live Music Throughout the Evening
Entertainment will play a major role throughout the event, with a programme of live performances beginning at 6:00pm.
The line-up includes:
• Comparsa K’nadum
• La Diata
• Parranda El Mesturao
• Los Vándalos
• Aseres
• Banda 101 Brass Band

Adding to the celebrations, Parranda El Mesturao has also created the official song for this year’s fair, helping build anticipation ahead of the event.
Cooking Workshops Before the Fair
In the lead-up to the fair, visitors can also take part in a series of free gastronomy workshops led by chefs from participating restaurants.
Taking place between 9 and 11 June, the sessions will explore traditional recipes, seasoning techniques and flavour combinations associated with Adeje’s culinary heritage.
A Growing Highlight on Adeje’s Calendar
In just its second edition, the Adeje Chicken Fair has established itself as one of the municipality’s standout gastronomic events, combining local cuisine, live entertainment and community spirit in the heart of the town.
For food lovers, families and anyone looking to experience a different side of Tenerife, it promises an evening filled with flavour, music and celebration.
