Trail runners looking ahead to their next big challenge can mark their calendars, as registration for the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® 2027 opens on 8 June 2026.
Organised by the Cabildo de Tenerife through Ideco, the event will return from 8 to 10 April 2027, once again forming part of the prestigious UTMB® World Series and bringing thousands of runners to the island for one of Europe’s most demanding and spectacular mountain races.
Registration Schedule
The registration process will take place in stages.
✔ 8 June to 12 June 2026
Priority registration for runners who were entered in the cancelled 2026 edition.
✔ 17 June 2026
Registration opens for athletes with a valid UTMB® Index.
✔ 19 June 2026
General registration opens to all participants.
Entries will remain available until 10 March 2027 or until all places have been allocated.
Exciting Changes for 2027
The upcoming edition introduces several new features designed to enhance the race experience.
✔ New 68km race distance
✔ The existing 73km race expands to 82km
✔ A redesigned Vertical Night Challenge
✔ New 6.5km route starting from Playa del Socorro
The race will continue to cross 15 municipalities, taking runners through some of Tenerife’s most dramatic landscapes, from the coastline to the high mountain terrain surrounding Mount Teide.
Largest Prize Fund in Event History
The 2027 edition will offer the highest prize fund ever awarded by the event.

This increase further strengthens Tenerife Bluetrail’s position as one of the leading trail running events on the international calendar.

Participants who register early will benefit from reduced entry fees.
