Amerigo Vespucci Arrives in Santa Cruz de Tenerife | 22 to 26 May 2026

One of the world’s most famous sailing ships is arriving in Tenerife this May.

The Italian Navy training ship Amerigo Vespucci, often described as “the most beautiful ship in the world”, will dock in Santa Cruz de Tenerife from 22 to 26 May 2026 as part of its latest international voyage.

The historic vessel left Genoa on 9 May and is now embarking on a 156-day journey towards the United States and Canada.

The route includes:

• More than 12,000 nautical miles
207 days at sea
13 stops in total
8 international ports

Before returning to Trieste on 12 October.

Visitors will have the chance to step aboard the ship and experience the vessel up close during its stay in Tenerife.

No booking is required.

Access will be granted depending on ship capacity.

With almost a century of history behind it, the Amerigo Vespucci remains one of the most recognisable sailing ships in the world.

And for a few days… it’ll be sitting right here in Santa Cruz harbour.
