A Hidden Guachinche in La Laguna… 20 Years Serving Proper Home Cooking

You’ve probably driven past places like this without even noticing.

No sign outside… nothing pulling you in.

And yet… inside, it’s been running for 20 years.

The Place

Casa Yeye, tucked away in La Laguna, is one of those guachinches that doesn’t try to stand out.

It just does its thing… and people keep coming back.

What They’re Serving

This is proper Canarian home cooking… no twists, no trends.

  • Gofio to start… probably on the house
  • House salad with a bit of everything
  • Ropa vieja de pulpo… not easy to find
  • Fried rabbit… simple and done well

And then the one people go for…

The Speciality

Solomillo al limón

That’s the standout.

Juicy, full of flavour… served with their famous papas fritas.

Apparently, people come from other islands just for those.

Says enough.

The Atmosphere

It’s not fast.

And it’s not trying to be.

You go there to sit, eat, talk… and take your time.

As they say… if you’re in a rush, it’s probably not your place.

The Details
