Ger brings ‘Si la vida es un despropósito, nosotras también’ to Teatro Leal

Ger is bringing his particular brand of comedy to Teatro Leal in La Laguna on Sunday 4 October, with a show that promises plenty of personality, everyday observations and a fair bit of mamarrachismo.

At just 28, Ger has already managed to fit quite a lot into his CV. He’s worked as an actor in television and theatre, published a book, presented two podcasts and travelled around Spain performing his comedy.

He first became widely known after his short monologues went viral in 2020.

Si la vida es un despropósito, nosotras también

Ger describes himself as a “mocatriz”, a tongue-in-cheek way of explaining his rather varied career.

His particular style of humour has been given its own name too: mamarrachismo.

Alongside the comedy, Ger uses his public profile to promote visibility and challenge stereotypes and prejudice affecting the LGTBIQ+ community, something that forms part of his work both on and off stage.

His social media channels now bring together the different sides of his work, from comedy and performances to his other creative projects.
