If you’ve ever wondered what goes on inside a child’s head when the emotions start taking over, El mundo del revés brings that idea to the stage in a family-friendly show inspired by Inside Out.
The performance takes place on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at 18:00 at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna.
A journey through the world of emotions
The story follows Julia, who receives a mysterious chest from her family on the night of her birthday.
There’s just one problem. She needs a key to open it.
Her family gives her a map showing where the key can be found, and thanks to the magic of the map, Julia sets off on a journey through the Land of Emotions.
Along the way she is joined by Joy, Fear, Disgust, Anger and Sadness, who help her discover what each emotion is useful for and, more importantly, how to manage them.
It sounds like a colourful way of introducing children to something we all spend a fair amount of our lives trying to figure out.
