Tenerife has a busy few months ahead, with a packed calendar of traditional fiestas, romerías, bailes de magos, bailes de taifa and paseos romeros taking place across the island from September through November 2026.
For anyone keen to experience some of Tenerife’s traditional side, there are plenty of dates to put in the diary.
September gets things started
Güímar gets the calendar underway on 8 September with the Subida de la Virgen del Socorro, followed four days later, on 12 September, by the Bajada de San Carlos.
Also on 12 September, Las Galletas in Arona will host its Baile de Magos.
The following day, 13 September, La Orotava will hold the Romería de Benijos, one of the first major romerías of the month.
On 19 September, there will be several events taking place around the island. Arico will celebrate the Bajada de la Virgen de Abona, San Juan de la Rambla will hold its romería, and Fasnia will celebrate the Bajada de Los Roques.
The following day, 20 September, brings the Romería Barquera de El Médano in Granadilla de Abona, as well as the Subida de la Virgen de Abona in Arico.
September finishes with the Romería de San Miguel in San Miguel de Abona on 26 September, followed by the Paseo Romero de Chanajiga in Los Realejos on 27 September.

October brings even more
October is shaping up to be one of the busiest months for traditional celebrations in Tenerife.
The month begins on 2 October with the Romería de El Toscal in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. On the same day, Tegueste will celebrate the Baile de Taifa de El Socorro, while Geneto in La Laguna will hold its Baile de Magos.
La Laguna continues the following day, 3 October, with the Romería de Valle Tabares, followed by the Romería de Geneto on 4 October.
The second weekend brings more events. Tacoronte will host the Baile de Magos de Barranco Las Lajas on 9 October, followed by the Paseo Romero de Barranco Las Lajas on 10 October.
That same day, San Miguel de Abona will celebrate the Baile de Magos de Las Zocas, while Barrio Nuevo in La Laguna will hold its Baile de Taifas.
On 18 October, the romerías return with celebrations in Adeje and La Vega in Icod de los Vinos.
October finishes with the Baile de Taifa de Araya in Candelaria on 23 October.

November keeps the traditional calendar going
The celebrations continue into November, although at a slightly quieter pace.
Igueste de Candelaria will hold its Baile de Magos on 6 November, followed the next day by the Baile de Magos de San Diego in La Laguna.
On 15 November, Güímar will host the Paseo Romero de Lomo de Montijo.
The month will then finish with the traditional Fiestas de San Andrés in the north of Tenerife on 29 and 30 November.
