If you’ve got a business or organisation in the Canary Islands doing something worth shouting about, you’ve only got a few days left to enter the 2026 Atlántico Hoy Awards for Best Business Initiatives.
The deadline is Monday, 31 August.
This year’s awards are the fifth edition and will recognise businesses and projects making a genuine contribution to the Canary Islands through innovation, job creation, sustainability and international growth.
Five award categories
Entries are open across five categories:
- Tourism
- Innovation
- Sustainable Development Goals
- Culture
- Internationalisation
The organisers are looking for businesses and organisations that are doing more than simply keeping the lights on. The idea is to recognise projects creating jobs, bringing new ideas to the table and helping put Canarian talent on the map.
Applications need to be sent by email to premios@atlanticohoy.com, together with the official form and the required documentation.
The awards ceremony takes place in September
The winners will be announced at a gala on 15 September at the Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Last year’s winners included projects from tourism, culture, sustainability and innovation, with Alexis Amaya, CEO of Dormitorum, named Executive of the Year.
So, if you’ve been meaning to put forward your business, organisation or project, this is probably the point where you stop saying “I’ll do it tomorrow”.
Tomorrow runs out on Monday.
