Santa Úrsula’s Mencey Bencomo Park to Be Transformed in €1 Million Redevelopment

Mencey Bencomo Park in Santa Úrsula is set for a major transformation following the approval of a redevelopment project worth more than €1 million.

The upgrade aims to modernise the popular public space with improved accessibility, new leisure facilities and more green areas for residents of all ages.

New Facilities for Sport, Leisure and Families

The redevelopment will introduce a wide range of new amenities, including:

  • Skatepark
  • Calisthenics area
  • Children’s playground
  • Outdoor fitness area
  • Dog park
  • New landscaped green spaces
  • Seating and relaxation areas

The project is designed to create a more welcoming space for children, young people, families and older residents.

Improved Accessibility

A key part of the redevelopment will focus on making the park more accessible.

New pathways and entrances will be created to improve access for people with reduced mobility, ensuring the park can be enjoyed by everyone.

Skatepark Designed with Local Experts

The design of the new skatepark has been reviewed in collaboration with the Canary Islands Skateboarding Committee.

Their input will help ensure the facility meets modern safety and technical standards while catering for both beginners and experienced skaters.

Giving the Park a New Lease of Life

The project will revitalise a park that has suffered significant deterioration over the years.

Once completed, Mencey Bencomo Park is expected to become a modern community space that combines recreation, sport and nature, offering improved facilities for residents and visitors alike.
