Candelaria is gearing up for another busy week of celebrations as the Santa Ana and Virgen del Carmen Festivities continue with a varied programme of family entertainment, cultural events, live music and traditional religious celebrations.
Family Entertainment Opens the Week
Festivities begin on Thursday, 9th July, with Menudas Fiestas, an evening dedicated to children and families at Plaza de Los Pescadores from 8:00pm.
The programme includes performances by La Orquesta Trikitrá, the musical puppet show “Cuentos para cantar” by Bolina Títeres, and a children’s dance party hosted by Mi Music Kids Band.
Art, Literature and Live Music
On Friday, 10th July, the 2026 Art Awards will be presented at the Cine Viejo from 8:00pm, followed by the launch of the book “Guía de Arte Urbano en Candelaria”, showcasing the municipality’s growing collection of urban art.
Later that evening, the celebrations continue at Plaza de Los Pescadores with the Fiesta Nochentera, featuring live performances from Última Parada and Los Vándalos from 10:00pm.
Honouring the Virgen del Carmen
The highlight of the week arrives on Saturday, 11th July, with the traditional celebrations in honour of the Virgen del Carmen.
The day will include the Rosario de la Aurora, the traditional procession and maritime procession of the Virgin, beautifully crafted salt carpets, a concert by Fran Hernández, a spectacular fireworks display and a late-night dance featuring orchestras Tenerife and Maquinaria.
Sunday Brings Water Fun and Vocal Siete
The festivities conclude on Sunday, 12th July, with the popular Fiesta del Chorro del Agua, accompanied by inflatable attractions for children and family activities.
In the evening, acclaimed vocal group Vocal Siete will take to the stage at Plaza de Los Pescadores at 9:00pm, presenting their latest show, “VS Radio.”
With activities for all ages, traditional celebrations and plenty of live entertainment, Candelaria is set for another memorable week of festivities.
