Tenerife will take centre stage this weekend as it hosts the first edition of the Gold Ring Awards (Premios Anillos de Oro), a new event celebrating the best television series produced in Spain and beyond.
The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, 20 June, at the Recinto Ferial de Tenerife in Santa Cruz, bringing together some of the biggest names from the Spanish audiovisual industry.
Antonio Resines to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran actor Antonio Resines, recognising his long and successful career in Spanish television and film.
A total of 23 awards will be presented during the gala, with winners selected from more than 90 Spanish and international productions.
Red Carpet Open to the Public
The event will begin at 6:30pm with a large public red carpet outside the Recinto Ferial.
More than 150 actors, producers, presenters and industry professionals are expected to attend, including well-known figures such as Javier Cámara, Fernando Guillén-Cuervo, Unax Ugalde, Natalia Ferviú, Paula Prendes and Lidia San José.
The ceremony will be hosted by journalist Elena S. Sánchez and actor Santi Millán, with Canarian comedian Abián Díaz also taking part.

The Gold Ring Awards will also include a programme of professional activities at TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes and MUNA, taking place on 19 and 20 June.
