A major new shopping destination is preparing to open in Las Chafiras, San Miguel de Abona, bringing an 18,000-square-metre retail and leisure complex to one of the fastest-growing areas of South Tenerife.
Named La Gran Manzana Shopping Centre, the development is strategically located next to the TF-1 motorway, offering easy access for residents, tourists and businesses across the south of the island.
Major Brands Already Confirmed
While the full list of retailers has not yet been announced, several well-known brands have already confirmed their arrival, including:

More fashion, homeware, technology and service businesses are expected to join the centre before its opening.
Shopping, Dining and Entertainment
La Gran Manzana is designed to be more than a shopping centre. Plans include:
🎬 A modern cinema complex
🍽️ A large restaurant and dining area
🎮 Leisure and entertainment spaces
🛒 A supermarket of more than 1,200 m²
There are also reports that a gym could form part of the project, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
A Strategic Location
The centre is being built in the heart of the Las Chafiras Industrial Estate, one of Tenerife’s key commercial and business zones.
Its location is expected to benefit further from ongoing road improvement projects being carried out by the Canary Islands Government to improve access to Las Chafiras and Oroteanda, helping reduce congestion and improve connectivity with the TF-1.
Opening Approaching
La Gran Manzana was originally expected to open in late 2025, but delays pushed the project back. However, with retailers already promoting their upcoming stores and marketing activity increasing, the opening appears to be drawing closer.
Once operational, the new centre will join some of Tenerife’s best-known shopping destinations, including Siam Mall, Plaza del Duque, Safari, Meridiano, Nivaria Centre and La Villa, further strengthening the island’s retail offering.
