San Juan Bonfire and Fireworks on 23 June

One of the most anticipated moments of the celebrations will take place on Tuesday, 23 June, the eve of San Juan.

At 7:30pm, a religious service will be held in honour of the patron saint, celebrated by Father Javier Izquierdo and accompanied by the Parish Choir of San Juan Bautista.

Following the service, a procession will make its way to Fray Diego Park, setting the stage for the traditional San Juan Bonfire, one of the most symbolic moments of the festivities.

The evening will also feature a fireworks display and a performance by the renowned Cariocas carnival group, adding colour and rhythm to one of the most magical nights of the year.

Religious Celebrations Continue on 24 June

The festivities will conclude on Wednesday, 24 June, the feast day of San Juan Bautista.

A second Mass will take place at 7:30pm in the parish church, accompanied by the Santa Cecilia Choir.

Afterwards, the traditional procession will travel through the streets of the neighbourhood towards Calle Miranda, accompanied by the Santa Cecilia Music Band.

The celebrations will draw to a close with a final pyrotechnic display, bringing the 2026 edition of the festivities to an end.

A Celebration of Tradition and Community

The San Juan Bautista festivities remain one of the most important events in the local calendar, bringing together residents, families and visitors to celebrate the area’s heritage, traditions and community spirit.

With live music, popular events, religious ceremonies and the iconic San Juan bonfire, Tacoronte is once again preparing for one of its most anticipated weeks of the year.
