Film lovers will have the opportunity to attend a special premiere screening of Kid Vereje on Friday, 19 June, at Multicines Tenerife, followed by a discussion with the film’s director, Ana Sánchez-Gijón.
The event begins at 7:00pm and offers audiences the chance to discover the director’s first feature-length documentary while gaining insight into the creative process behind the project.
A Personal Story of Identity and Change
Kid Vereje is based on the story of Juan Fernando Pérez León and explores themes of masculinity, family relationships and personal transformation.
The documentary follows a man whose understanding of masculinity is challenged as his wife and daughter begin to question and deconstruct traditional gender roles. Through this deeply personal journey, different stages of his life come together in a process of reflection, healing and self-discovery.
Blending intimate storytelling with broader social themes, the film examines how personal identities evolve over time and how family relationships can become catalysts for change.
