La Cuesta Gets Ready for One of Its Biggest Nights as the Baile de Magos Returns

There’s something about a Baile de Magos in Tenerife.

Long tables appearing in the streets.

People carrying trays that could feed half the neighbourhood.

Wine bottles appearing from nowhere.

And someone inevitably asking if your traje is authentic.

This Saturday, it’s La Cuesta’s turn.

The district is preparing for one of the most anticipated events of its local fiestas as the traditional Baile de Magos returns.

The Big Community Table Returns

One of the centrepieces of the evening will once again be the large communal table, bringing together:

• Families
• Friends
• Neighbourhood groups
• Local associations

Expect traditional food, local wine, Canarian dress and plenty of conversation stretching well into the night.

Because these evenings are never really just about dinner.

More Than Food and Folklore

The Baile de Magos is one of those events that keeps Canarian traditions alive.

It’s about:

• Sharing food
• Keeping folklore visible
• Bringing generations together
• Preserving local identity

And somehow doing all of that while balancing plates of carne fiesta and glasses of vino del país.

Music Until Late

The programme will once again feature:

• Parrandas
• Folklore groups
• Traditional music
• Family atmosphere throughout the evening

With celebrations expected to continue into the early hours.

La Laguna’s festive calendar barely pauses at this point.

One barrio finishes… another starts.

Organisers Ask for Respect and Cleanliness

As always, organisers are reminding attendees to:

• Respect community guidelines
• Keep the area clean
• Help the event run smoothly

Simple enough really.

Enjoy the night… but don’t leave the street looking like the morning after Carnival.
