With registrations for the Pope’s events now passing 250,000 people, organisers have released answers to the most common questions after some participants experienced technical issues during sign-up.
The main message is simple:
Registration is still open and there is still time to join.
And importantly…
Even people who do not register will still be able to attend, although registered participants will be placed closer to the stage areas.
Registration Is Still Open
Organisers are encouraging everyone planning to attend to register as soon as possible rather than leaving it until the last minute.
Because, as anyone who has ever dealt with online registration systems knows…
Nothing good happens at 11:58pm on deadline day.
More Than 250,000 Already Registered
The high number of registrations has caused occasional technical issues, although organisers say these only affect a small percentage of users.
A support team is already working on fixes and updates to improve the platform.
From Monday 17th May, registered participants will begin receiving:
📍 Assigned participation areas
📧 Practical information
ℹ️ Event organisation details
Common Registration Problems and Solutions
Wrong Email Address?
Good news.
The platform now allows users to:
📧 Change the email linked to their registration
Simply log back in and update it to avoid missing future communications.
Registered with the Wrong Group?
If you originally registered with one group but will attend with another, you can now transfer.
Examples:
⛪ Parish → School
👨👩👧 Family → Different group
The new group transfer feature handles this.
No Confirmation Email?
Some users never received automatic confirmation emails.
You can now log back into the platform and check:
✔ Registration status
👥 Assigned group
📋 Group organiser details
Also worth checking:
📂 Spam folder
📨 Junk mail
Because emails do enjoy hiding there.
Duplicate Data Error?
Some deleted registrations remained in the system by mistake and blocked new sign-ups.
This issue has now been fixed.
Anyone affected can simply try again.
ID Already Linked to Another Group?
This usually means someone previously added you during a collective registration.
The platform is preparing an automatic transfer option so users can move into the correct group.
Missing Minor Consent Email?
Some families have not received confirmation links or minor consent forms.
For now organisers recommend:
📂 Check inbox
📂 Spam folder
✔ Confirm email address entered correctly
A resend function is also being added.
What Should You Do Now?
Organisers recommend everyone:
✔ Check registration status
✔ Verify email address
✔ Confirm correct group
✔ Finish registration soon
✔ Watch for emails from Monday 17th
Worth Knowing
The organisers are repeatedly stressing one point:
Do not panic.
Registrations remain open, issues are being fixed and there is still time.
With more than a quarter of a million registrations already processed…
A few technical gremlins were probably inevitable.
