Tenerife Crown Champions Promotion with 2–0 Win at a Packed Heliodoro

That’s how you finish a season.

Full stadium… promotion already confirmed… and still a proper performance.

Before Kick-Off

The job was technically done before a ball was kicked.

News came through that Celta Fortuna had lost

Which meant Tenerife were champions.

The stadium knew it… and you could feel it.

First Half… Not a Walkover

Despite the celebrations, Tenerife didn’t ease off.

  • Early chances from Noel López and Fabricio
  • Barakaldo settled and had their moments
  • A couple of real chances at both ends

Not one-sided… just tense.

The Breakthrough

Second half, 49th minute…

Quick counter, perfectly timed pass…

Enric Gallego does the rest.

1–0

Seventeenth goal of the season… and probably the most important.

Sealing It

Barakaldo pushed… fair play to them.

But Tenerife hit again when it mattered:

  • Loose ball in the box
  • Maikel Mesa reacts first

2–0 (81’)

That’s game over.

What It Means

  • Champions
  • Back to Segunda División
  • First promotion celebrated at home since 1987

That last part… that’s the one people will remember.

After the Final Whistle

No one rushed off.

The night carried on in Plaza de España

Blue and white everywhere.

One of those evenings that sticks.
