A Proper Hike Through Candelaria’s Mid-Altitude Trails… If You’re Up for It

This one isn’t a casual stroll…

But that’s kind of the point.

The Route

The third Master hiking route heads into the medianías of Candelaria under the name:

“La ladera de chafa”

🗓 Sunday, May 17

Around 7km, but don’t let that fool you…

There’s a fair bit of elevation packed in.

What You Get

  • Views over the Güímar Valley
  • Insight into the early settlers of the island
  • A guided route with qualified experts

So it’s not just walking… there’s a bit of context along the way.

Who Can Join

  • 30+ only
  • Free to enter
  • Medium difficulty… so you’ll need to be reasonably fit

This isn’t one to wing in trainers you found at the back of the cupboard.

Key Dates

📝 Registration opens: May 4 (08:00)
⛔ Closes: May 13 (14:00)

Places are limited… and these usually fill quickly.

Getting There

Transport’s sorted:

🚌 Departure: 08:00 from Plaza del Adelantado (La Laguna)
↩️ Return: Around 17:00

They’re pushing shared travel as well… which makes sense.

Worth Knowing

If you sign up… show up.

No-shows without cancelling can block you from future events.

Which is fair enough.

If you want something a bit more active, social, and actually worth your Sunday…

This is one of the better options around.
