No surprises here… Tegueste isn’t changing the formula.
The San Marcos Romería 2026 will follow the same route as previous years… which, to be fair, is probably what most people want.
The Route
It all kicks off from Plaza de Tegueste, then moves through:
- Calle El Pino (heading up first)
- Down through La Audiencia
- Along El Carmen
- Up Calle Nueva
From there, it cuts through the pedestrian area before linking back to El Pino to finish.
Simple, familiar… and it works.
Where the Carretas Come In
The carretas will be lined up around La Placeta and Jesús Cedrés, then feed into the main route as things get moving.
If you’ve been before, you’ll know the drill… a bit of waiting, a bit of chaos, then it all falls into place.
The Important Bit
The council’s made it clear… stick to the route and follow instructions.
Sounds obvious, but with this many people involved, it’s what keeps things from turning messy.
Final Thought
They haven’t tried to reinvent anything this year.
Same setup, same flow… just better organisation behind it.
And honestly, with a romería, that’s exactly how it should be.
