Something a bit more traditional happening across Arona this week.
From 7th to 17th April, several spaces around the municipality are hosting exhibitions as part of the European Craft Days.
It’s a mix of local craftsmanship, textiles, and traditional techniques… the kind of things that don’t get enough attention day to day.
What You Can See
There are a few different exhibitions spread out across the area:
- Bordado Palmero – by Estela Orribo
📍 Centro Cívico Las Galletas - De la Palmera a la cabeza (traditional Canarian clothing)
📍 Cultural Centre Cabo Blanco - Las Rosetas – exhibition and live demonstrations
📍 Centro Cultural Los Cristianos
🕔 Opening at 17:00 - El Arte del Hilo – focusing on male weavers
📍 Casa La Bodega (Arona Casco)
Worth a Look?
If you’re interested in local traditions, or just want something different from the usual plans, it’s an easy one to drop into.
Quiet, local, and a reminder of the kind of skills that have been around here for generations.
