If you’re around Adeje on Tuesday morning, there’s something useful going on at the health centre… and it’s all free.
To mark World Health Day, the Adeje City Council and local Health Centre are putting on a series of activities focused on prevention, wellbeing, and general health.
It runs from 8:00am to 1:00pm, so you can drop in when it suits.
What’s Happening
There’ll be a main information and activity tent set up inside the centre, open to everyone.
You can get a few basic checks done on the spot:
- Blood pressure
- Heart rate
- Blood glucose
- Oxygen levels
There’s also advice on healthy eating, including simple guidance around the Mediterranean diet, and even a cardiovascular risk check if you want a better idea of where you stand.
Practical Workshops
They’re also running a few hands-on sessions, which are probably the most useful part:
- CPR and defibrillator use
- What to do in case of choking
- How to handle a seizure
- Managing fever at home
Nothing overly technical… just the kind of stuff that’s good to know before you actually need it.
A Bit More Than Just Information
Alongside all that, there’ll be light physical activities throughout the morning, aimed at getting people moving and thinking a bit more about day-to-day health.
Worth Dropping In?
It’s free, it’s local, and you might actually learn something useful.
Even if you just stop by for a quick check, it’s one of those things that’s worth doing while it’s there.
