Motocross Returns to San Miguel de Abona This March

San Miguel de Abona is back on the map for motorsport, hosting the Canary Islands Motocross Championship at the end of the month.

It’s happening over 28th and 29th March at the Circuito Celestino Hernández, and it’s one of those events that pulls in riders and fans from across the islands.

What’s going on

The race is being held under the Trofeo Topacio, organised by Moto Club Abona, with backing from the local council, the Canary Islands Government, the Cabildo, and the regional federation.

So it’s not a small setup… proper event, properly supported.

If you’re going

📍 Circuito Celestino Hernández
🗓 28th & 29th March
🎟️ €5 entry (goes towards supporting and maintaining events like this)

For the price of a couple of coffees, you get a full day of noise, speed, and probably a bit of dust.

Worth it?

If you like motorsport, it’s an easy yes.

If you don’t… it’s still something different from the usual Tenerife routine, and you might end up enjoying it more than you expect.
