Book your group in for Carnival – Los Cristianos

If you’ve got a Carnival group, this is your cue for the Los Cristianos Carnival.

Arona Town Hall has opened registrations for groups wanting to take part in the International Carnival of Los Cristianos 2026, running from 5th to 16th March.

And if you’ve ever marched in the Coso, you’ll know it’s not something you organise the week before.

Deadlines matter here.

For general Carnival events, registration is open until 2nd March 2026 at 2pm.

If you’re aiming for the big one, the Gran Coso Apoteosis (The closing parade of the Carnival season), you’ve got until 9th March 2026 at 2pm.

Miss those deadlines and you’ll be watching from the pavement with the rest of us.

You can register via:

• SAC offices, by appointment only, on 010 or 922 761 600

• The Town Hall’s website…from experience, I’d go in person.

• Or any other legally permitted method

You’ll need to submit the Generic Model 005 form along with the required group documentation. That includes the signed application form from the group representative, a full list of members and parental authorisations for any minors involved.

In other words, a bit of paperwork before the feathers and face paint.

Los Cristianos Carnival has grown massively over the years. It’s no longer just a few floats and some music. The Gran Coso pulls big crowds and proper effort goes into the costumes and choreography.

If you’re part of a comparsa, murga, dance group or any organised Carnival crew, now’s the time to get yourselves sorted.

Leave the last minute stress to someone else this year.

Get the forms in. Rehearse properly. Try not to lose half the group costume pieces the night before.

Carnival always comes around quicker than you think.
