Where to Eat Proper Fish in Tenerife This Easter

Trying to find somewhere decent to eat in Tenerife over Easter can turn into a bit of a chore.

Everything’s busy, half the menus look the same, and you end up paying good money for something you forget about five minutes later.

But every now and then, a place stands out… usually because it’s been doing things properly for years.

Los Pinchitos is one of those.

A place that’s been around… for a reason

Down in San Andrés, in the old fishing district, you’ll find Los Pinchitos. It’s been there since 1960, which tells you most of what you need to know.

Places don’t last that long here unless they’re doing something right.

It started with a simple idea… serve fresh fish, keep it honest, and look after people when they walk through the door.

No big concept. Just consistency.

Three generations in… and still making it work

This isn’t one of those places that’s changed hands ten times and lost its identity along the way.

It’s stayed in the family.

The founders passed it on, and now it’s run by their grandson, Iván Hernández Cabello.

He’s updated things where needed… service, presentation, the way it all runs day to day.

But he hasn’t gone down the route of trying to turn it into something it’s not. And that’s probably why it still works.

The food… exactly what you’d hope for

Fresh fish, proper seafood, and rice dishes that actually taste like they should.

Nothing overcomplicated. No strange twists that don’t need to be there.

Just good ingredients, cooked properly.

It’s the sort of place where you order grilled fish or a seafood platter and you know exactly what you’re getting… and you’re glad you did.

There’s a reason it picked up recognition in 2025 as the best seafood restaurant in Tenerife. Not because of clever marketing… because people go, enjoy it, and come back.

Sit outside if you can

The terrace is half the experience.

You’ve got the sea air coming through, the buzz of San Andrés around you, and none of that rushed feeling you get in busier tourist spots.

Take your time. That’s the whole point.

Worth it over Easter?

Yes… just don’t expect it to be quiet.

After a morning at Las Teresitas or a walk through the village, it’s about as solid a choice as you’ll find.

No gimmicks. No nonsense. Just a place that’s been doing things right for over 60 years.

And that’s getting harder to find.
