What’s Happening in Güímar This March 2026

If you live in the south east of Tenerife, or you fancy a change from the usual Costa Adeje routine, Güímar has quite a few cultural and festive events lined up this March.

The town hall has released its March 2026 cultural agenda, and there’s a bit of everything going on. Music, local traditions, cultural activities and the usual mix of community events that Spanish towns tend to do quite well.

These sorts of programmes are always worth keeping an eye on because they’re normally the events where you see the real local life rather than the tourist version of it.

Small concerts, exhibitions, community gatherings and the occasional fiesta atmosphere tend to pop up throughout the month.

Güímar, for those who haven’t spent much time there, still feels very much like a traditional Canarian town. It’s not built around tourism in the same way as the south, so when the local council organises things, it’s usually for the residents first and everyone else second.

Which, to be honest, is often what makes them more enjoyable.

If you like discovering the island beyond the resort areas, it might be worth checking out what they’ve got planned this month.
