Father’s Day is coming up and Icod de los Vinos is giving people a nice little reason to support local businesses while celebrating the day.
On March 19th, anyone who shops in participating local stores can enjoy a free chocolate with churros as part of the town’s “Shop Local” initiative.
The idea is simple.
Make a purchase at a local business in Icod de los Vinos from March 16 onwards, bring along your receipt and exchange it for a serving of hot chocolate with churros.
The exchange will take place at 17:00, in a tent located in the pedestrian area of Calle San Agustín.
As you’d expect, it’s available while supplies last, so arriving early might not be a bad idea.
It’s a small gesture, but one that highlights the importance of supporting local shops while spending time with family.
After all, some of the best memories are the simple ones.
