HiperDino will once again be part of the TFN Lan Party this year, one of the biggest technology and gaming events in Tenerife.
And this time it’s a special one… because the event is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The TFN Lan Party will take place from the 14th to the 19th of July at the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz, and as in previous years, HiperDino will be there with its own pop-up shop for visitors.
A Supermarket In The Middle Of A Gaming Event
If you’ve never been to TFN Lan Party before, it’s a pretty big gathering.
Gamers, tech enthusiasts, cosplay fans, K-pop followers and digital creators all come together for several days of competitions, talks, workshops and general gaming chaos.
Thousands of people attend every year.
Which means people need snacks, drinks and food… and that’s where HiperDino steps in.
For the third year running, the Canary Islands supermarket chain will set up a temporary shop inside the event, selling a wide range of products to keep attendees fuelled during the six-day event.
Let’s be honest… when people are gaming for hours on end, snacks become fairly important.
Celebrating Creativity And Entertainment
According to HiperDino’s Marketing and Communication Director, Carlos García, the company sees the event as more than just a commercial opportunity.
Events like TFN Lan Party promote creativity, digital culture, innovation and emerging artistic trends, all things the company says it wants to support as part of its commitment to Canarian society.
Over the years, TFN Lan Party has grown well beyond a local event and now attracts visitors from across Spain and even internationally.
It’s become one of the most recognised gaming and digital culture events in the country.
A Chance To Win Tickets
To build a bit of excitement ahead of the event, HiperDino is also running a ticket giveaway on Instagram.
Between 12th and 15th March, they’ll be giving away five standard Lan Party tickets through their official account.
These tickets include access to exclusive activities during the event and are actually the last remaining tickets of this category, as they’ve already sold out.
So if you’re into gaming, cosplay, or just curious about the whole scene, it might be worth keeping an eye on that.
What To Expect At TFN Lan Party
This year’s edition is expected to be a particularly big one thanks to the 20-year anniversary.
Over the six days there’ll be a packed programme including:
- Gaming competitions
- Cosplay events
- K-pop activities
- Board games
- Talks and workshops
- Meet-and-greets with special guests
- Creative activities and exhibitions
In short, plenty to keep people busy.
A Quick Word About HiperDino
For anyone new to the islands, HiperDino is one of the biggest supermarket chains in the Canary Islands.
The company has been around since 1985, is entirely Canarian-owned, and employs more than 10,000 people across the islands.
Their strategy has always been pretty simple… competitive prices and a wide range of products, particularly fresh food.
That approach has worked well for them.
They now operate over 290 stores, including HiperDino, SuperDino and HiperDino Express, with several logistics centres supporting the network.
Interestingly, the company has even started expanding beyond the Canary Islands, opening stores in Mallorca in the Balearic Islands towards the end of 2024.
Not bad going for a local supermarket brand.
More Than Just A Supermarket
Through the DinoSol Foundation, the company also supports a number of social and community initiatives across the islands, helping workers and local communities.
So their involvement in events like TFN Lan Party fits fairly well with that wider community approach.
