There’s another event rolling into Santa Cruz in May… and this one’s got a bit of everything thrown at it.
The Fit Experience Fest is back on the 9th May, taking over the Parque Marítimo. If you’ve never been, it’s basically a mix of fitness event, show, and social gathering… with a lot of energy and very little sitting down.
You’ve got cross-training competitions, freestyle, urban dance, exhibitions… the usual “something for everyone” setup, but actually done on a decent scale.
They’re bringing in international athletes as well, so it’s not just your mate from the local gym having a go. Proper level.
What they’re clearly trying to do is make it more than just a fitness event. Families, kids, people who just want to wander about and watch… it’s all part of it.
And then there’s the headline bit.

Didn’t see that one coming… but fair play, that’ll pull a crowd on its own. If you’re going during the day, you can get 50% off the concert ticket, which isn’t a bad little bonus.
The whole thing is being backed by the Canary Islands Government, the Cabildo and the local council… so it’s not a small operation. They’re pushing it hard.
Their tagline is “sport, energy, and a final you won’t forget”.
Bit dramatic… but to be fair, if the weather behaves and the setup’s right, it could actually be a decent day out.
Whether you’re into fitness or not, these events tend to be more about the atmosphere than anything else.
Sun out, music on, people moving about… Tenerife does that part well.
