If you’ve driven anywhere near Avenida Constitución in Adeje lately, you’ll know it’s been… interesting.
Dust. Cones. Diversions. And that slightly confused look from drivers who weren’t expecting another closed road.
The good news is that things are moving.
The section between Calle Telefónica and Plaza César Manrique is about to be resurfaced. Once that asphalt is down and assuming there are no last-minute surprises, traffic will be restored along that stretch.
Which will be a relief for pretty much everyone who uses it daily.
After that, the next phase kicks off between the Church and Calle Telefónica. The key detail here is that traffic will remain open, but there’ll be no parking allowed.
So yes, you’ll be able to drive through… but forget about leaving the car there.
It’s one of those necessary evils. Roads don’t fix themselves, even in Tenerife, although sometimes it feels like projects take on a life of their own.
If it stays on schedule, we’ll soon have a properly resurfaced main artery instead of a patchwork quilt of repairs, as it has been for a while.
Progress is progress.
